There are many options for instructional and musical events in the Southern California and beyond. The events vary from Ukulele Festivals, music camps, ukulele cruises, field trips, and performances in the many performing arts centers. For the past eleven years, the classes have scheduled trips to the Hollywood Bowl.

For the past five years, E Mele Hana has offered a Ukulele cruise to various parts of the West Coast as well as the Caribbean on several Royal Caribbean cruise ships. The cruises last from 5 to seven days. Classes aboard ship are held on at sea days leaving the port days open for tours to various events. The cruises have featured local and national talent.

The 2011 Ukulele Cruise was in February aboard the Royal Caribbean "Oasis of the Seas" which left from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The cruise was seven days to the Western Car rib bean, Labade, Haiti, San Jose, Mexico and Cozumel, Mexico. The Ukulele participants learned the Bossa Nova and other Latin American strums. There were other ship board activities to become engaged in such as Zip Line, Carousal, Aqua Theater and many great shows. After the cruise, the group went on an Air Boat ride in the Everglades before returning to Los Angeles.

The table below lists events that may be of interest to music students.
